Artificial lift is changing reservoir pressure in oil wells to increase the flow of oil (or water) to the surface. As production continues, the natural reservoir pressure declines, so there is no force to push the oil out.

Audience

This Micro VILT will benefit production and field operations engineers, junior and senior petroleum engineers and field technicians as well as geoscientists and reservoir engineers who wish to understand the implications of production systems on their field reservoirs.

Prerequisite

A basic understanding of drilling and completion principles and some industry exposures are desirable for participants before enrolling in this course. However, if this is not the case, the system will be adapted to meet the needs of all attendees.
