The goal of this course is to give participants a comprehensive overview of the deepwater drilling process, from selecting a drilling location to well design and rig selection, as well as covering the challenges, risks, and limitations involved. This program provides a basic understanding of the equipment and terminology used in deepwater drilling. This course is ideal for drilling and completions engineers, technicians, and administrative staff who are just starting their journey in deepwater operations and wish to gain a fundamental understanding of the process. It serves as a starting point for those interested in further advanced- level training in deepwater well project and risk management.

A basic understanding of drilling and completion principles and some industry exposure are desirable for participants prior to enrolling in this course. However, if this is not the case, the course will be adapted to meet the needs of all attendees.
